New Terminal at Malaga Airport

Construction on the new Terminal 3 at Malaga Airport has been ongoing for the last 4 years but the 15th March 2010 sees the inauguration of potentially one of the singlemost important advances to the Costa del Sol Community, with the official formalities being overseen by King Juan Carlos himself.  Due to an increasing number of passengers the development work on the airport, which is estimated to total 200 Million Euros, will be adjacent to Terminal 2 and will have an area of 385,000m2 - more than double to size of the existing terminal. It is also set to have the largest food hall in Europe and to have the very first National Geographic Shop in the World. Once the new runway is completed it is anticipated that the 12.8 millon passengers that used the airport in 2008 will double for 2011.

San Pedro de Alcantara - Tunnel & Bypass

The much anticipated Subway and San Pedro de Alcantara bypass will significantly reduce travel times between Estepona and Marbella.
A plan was also recently passed to approve working 24 hours a day on this project to ensure it gets completed before the end of 2010.

This bypass is not only popular with residents of San Pedro but also for the many commuters having to travel through the centre of the town.

The tunnel will begin just past the Hotel Lorcrimar and finish around the famous Marbella Arch in San Pedro just before the Guadalmina Golf Course.
