The stand-out example of the success of this strategy is the Cortijo del Mar Resort. This resort is a development of 250 properties that FM Consulting rescued in 2008 when the original developer had to abandon the project, with FM Consulting previously involved in the marketing phase of the development.

When the economic crisis hit, pre-sales disappeared and so too did the profitability of the project. Then, in 2009, with the completion of the development, the sales strategy carried out by FM Consulting focused on boosting sales by equipping the complex with the necessary extras to create a resort with rental management services.

As a result, during the following years, the large majority of the properties at the Cortijo del Mar Resort were sold by offering this rental management service as an added extra. And this strategy is perfectly replicable for other FM Consulting projects in the future.
